For your consideration: A PAIR of Quanlong (Chien-lung) Chinese export Porcelain crowned monogram plates, circa 1760. Elaborate monograms in gold with extensive and very detailed crown and crest decoration and rims in rose and gold. Backs are unmarked and undecorated. This is pretty consistent with my notes in my dad's home inventory listings; he was a passionate collector!Measure about 8 7/8 (22.5cm) in diameter. Condition: A few minor frits, primarily to the back. Rim gold is somewhat worn; other gold and colors are fairly strong. No visible cracks or crazing. One plate is near flawless remarkably!
; the other has a few small of small "flea bite" chips to the UNDERSIDE of the rim as well as a large backside chip (see photo); these do NOT show to the front. On the whole, excellent condition for plates of this age! Have been well cared for in a smoke-free home ever since. We are thinning out some of our rather extensive collection of home decor, original art, art books, catalogues, antiques, old stamp collections and other collectibles.
The kids have left home and have expressed that they are " not interested " and we are basically "downsizing" and simplifying our lives. This is an ongoing process that will last many months years? Hope our treasures find good homes and enjoyment elsewhere; we have loved having them, but now they need new happy homes!
